Gretchen Hillhouse Design believes that living with good design impacts positively and powerfully within society. Our vision is to bring the benefits of good design to a wide audience through a multi-disciplinary design practice that transverses the boundaries of visual art, craft and design.
Our work is informed by a strong sense of craftedness with an emphasis on the integrity of the handmade object.

We believe we have a responsibility to the world to create an environmentally and socially sustainable material culture which is demonstrated by our ethical business practice.

Gretchen Hillhouse Design proudly supports the work of Opportunity International, a philanthropic organization committed to the eradication of poverty through economic empowerment, providing loans to individuals to start small businesses in 27 of the worlds poorest countries.
