Seraphina
Drawing on the legacy of the botanical patternation of William Morris & textile design of the early 1800s, the Seraphina range is created using a ‘wax-resist’ process. The botanical pattern is hand-painted in wax onto the unfired porcelain form, which is then gently sponged with water, washing away the surface of the unwaxed clay. The wax is burnt off in the subsequent firing process, leaving a subtle surface decoration in low relief fired to 1280 degrees, all functional ware is dishwasher & microwave-safe.

Princess Beatrice Crowns, Princess Eugenie Towers,
Inspired by the architectural cast-iron lace-work of the Victorian era, the ‘Princess Beatrice’ range is created using a unique combination of clay and glass chemistry to produce a strong, vitrified material with an air of fragility. A vitrified porcelaineous material is slip-trailed into or over a molded form and oxidation fired in a kiln to 1280 degrees Celsius.
