Originally inspired by the desire to create a beautiful and instructive wall-hung alphabet for a friend's child, the Alphabet collection has ancient European textile references and the softness of the hand-crafted object.
Measuring 9.5 x 9.5 x 10 cm, each tile is hand-carved from Australian porcelain, a plaster mold is made from the original and then sent to a manufacturer in Melbourne for production. Fired to industrial strength temperatures, the tiles are very hard wearing and suitable for commercial use in wet areas.
